Q1: How long does the session last?
A1: At our physiotherapy clinic, initial assessments and follow-up appointments are scheduled for a minimum of 45 minutes. Unlike some ‘instant’ clinics that rush through 20-30 minute sessions, I prioritise quality care for our patients including meaningful discussions about current challenges and future goals.
In addition, every physiotherapy session includes a comprehensive rehabilitation program tailored to your needs. This programme goes beyond generic exercise sheets, providing detailed descriptions of movements, recommended sets and repetitions, and instructional videos for any new exercises.
Q2: How is Core Reborn Physiotherapy different from the other physio clinics in North Herts?
A2: At Core Reborn Physiotherapy, we embrace a proactive approach to healthcare. The mission extends beyond symptom management and there is a strive to instigate lasting transformations. Rather than confining patients to the physiotherapy table for brief sessions, skill acquisition and movement is encouraged. Unlike traditional models where patients attend weekly sessions for short-term treatments like massage or acupuncture, my focus is on cultivating robustness and resilience. The goal is to create a stronger, fitter individual with sessions that are dynamic, engaging, and markedly different from what you might experience in the NHS or other local clinics.
Q3: How many sessions will I need?
A3: Our primary objective is to facilitate enduring change and enhance body’s resilience in relation to the individual’s day-to-day activities. While some patients may find a single session sufficient for addressing an issue, others may have more extensive goals or severe injuries necessitating a more extended rehabilitation timeline. During the initial assessment, I engage in a crucial discussion to discern both short-term and long-term rehabilitation options, ensuring a tailored approach to each individual’s needs.
Q4: How shall I prepare for my session?
A4: Before your appointment, please consider the following:
- Comfortable Attire: Opt for gym or comfortable clothing. Comfort and visibility are crucial during your session.
- Specific Clothing Recommendations:
- Lower Body Issues: If you’re dealing with lower back, hip, knee, ankle, or foot problems, bring a pair of shorts.
- Upper Body Issues: For neck, upper back, shoulder, elbow, or hand issues, a vest top or sports bra is recommended.
- No Barriers to Treatment: These clothing choices ensure that there are no obstacles to initiating your treatment.
- Additional Information: If you’ve had recent blood tests or scans, bringing along those results would be helpful.
Q5. What is your cancellation policy?
A5: We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly request that you do so as soon as possible. Cancellation or rescheduling is free of penalty charge as long as it is done at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. This allows us time to potentially accommodate another patient in the now vacant slot. However, any cancellations made less than 24 hours before the booked appointment time, or failure to attend the appointment, will result in a penalty charge equal to the entire appointment fee.
Q6. Will my private insurance cover the cost of physiotherapy?
A6: As of now, we do not have any tie-ups with any any of the private insurance providers. Having said that, most insurance providers do reimburse the cost of physiotherapy sessions. Upon payment in full for a home visit, the patient will be issued a digital receipt which can be forwarded to the insurance provider.
